This workshop will provide activities to support professionals in learning and teaching mindfulness and playful movement in sessions. Participants will learn developmentally appropriate play activities, poses, and mindfulness skills to build self-regulation, focus, and social-emotional functioning. This course will build professional confidence in using play, mindfulness, and kinesthetic approaches to address childhood stressors and alleviate common mental health symptoms.

This introductory workshop is designed for therapists working with children, adolescents and families.
Julie Torok-Mangasarian, LMFT, RPT-S is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the Clinical Director of the California Psychological Institute in Fresno, CA. Julie is a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor, infant mental health specialist, reflective practice mentor and certified educator of infant massage (CEIM). Julie has advanced training through Y.O.G.A for Youth (Kundalini Yoga-40 hours) and is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider. Julie specializes in use of play, movement, and mindfulness to treat complex and developmental trauma in young children.
Courtney MacDougall, BA, RYT 200 is the owner of Evergreen Yoga and Mindfulness. She has advanced training through Y.O.G.A for Youth (Kundalini Yoga-40 hours), Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and is a certified Kidding Around Yoga Instructor. Courtney has been working with children for 5+ years, teaching and supporting integrative health and wellness. Courtney has combined her passion for yoga and experience working in mental health and has created a curriculum designed to help children, adults and professionals find peace and balance through yoga and mindfulness.
CE’s: Attendance to this training meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s and/or LEP’s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Prov. # 76629. Certificate of Completion will be delivered via email at the end of the training and upon completion of the survey/evaluation. You must be present for the entire training and in order to receive your CE certificate.
