Integrative Mental Health Practices-Adding to the toolbox

I am happily looking forward to adding new tools to my clinical toolbox. I will be attending an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training in October and a Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals retreat in November. Although, I have consistently been incorporating meditation, movement (yoga, bilateral integration, tapping) and mantra/affirmations into practice for the last 2+ years, I am hoping to further expand my knowledge and experience.

I am excited to continue to grow my knowledge base, make professional and personal connections/relationships, and explore alternatives to conventional models of treatment. We are learning so much everyday from researchers in the fields of neuroscience, genetics/epigenetics, and metabolomics (microbiome analysis/nutrition) that can and should be applied to emotional wellness and mental health care.
