This course will introduce professionals to the principles of a multidimensional, diversity-informed assessment process. Professionals will learn how to incorporate observational information and screening outcomes in quality IMPH assessments.
This course aligns with the California Training Guidelines and Personnel Competencies for Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health (2016): E: Observation, Screening, and Assessment (2 hours)
Learning Objectives:
• Describe how the process of assessment is an intervention.
• Identify at least 4 components of an infant mental health assessment.
• List 2 ways to maintain a diversity-informed assessment process.
CE Credit: Attendance to this training series meets the qualifications for 2 hours of continuing education credit for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s and/or LEP’s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
